Position Summary
Responsible for properly storing, transporting, and shipping hose to the appropriate customer to ensure a timely delivery based on the customer needs.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Must be capable of following and meeting standard work requirements including but not limited to:1. Safely operate forklift and other Powered Industrial Trucks as needed.2. Verify finished product is properly weighed and identified with the product code.3. Proficiently use and operate systems such as UPS Worldwide4. Properly receive materials into the plant5. Make scan labels for raw materials into the APC system6. Receive incoming material into the Mainframe system7. Assure accurate counts of material are being loaded or unloaded, perform periodic cycle count inventories, and perform bar code transactions for product movement and inventory8. Physically break down pallets of product to dispense them to designated customers.9. Properly wrap and or band pallets in preparation to load10. Load/unload freight for processing2. Prepare and complete necessary paperwork. 3. Ability to work in adverse weather conditions4. Ensure quality by identifying issues with product that is not suitable to ship to our customers and initiating sign-off procedure for incoming damaged product5. Warehouse will help maintain tugger routes.
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/ NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures in a manner that eliminates risk to health and the environment. Notify leadership of unsafe conditions or practices unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to leadership immediately.2. Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner.3. Maintain production schedules.4. Participate in peer-based teams (i.e., Natural High Performance Teams), and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.5. Other duties may be assigned later.
Qualifications
Education preferred: High School diploma or GEDExperience: Production work preferred but not requiredPreferred Skills/Qualifications: 1. Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills2. Basic knowledge and use of hand tools3. Sound decision making skills4. Good math, reading, writing skills5. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude6. Mental and visual acuity for production of quality product7. Strong trouble shooting skills8. Must have a positive attitudeSkills/Competencies: 1. Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office package2.
