About the role:
As a Manager HUB Operations, you will be the key point of contact for all operational and strategic responsibilities associated with the Dubai Hub Operations. You will manage an effective team to ensure the highest level of security services is applied for Cargo, Aircraft and Airport Terminal Operations. This necessitates strict adherence to individual airline regulations, as well as state and international legislation, to seamlessly facilitate the efficient functioning of the Hub Ops function.
In this role, you will:
- Manage, monitor and assess the implementation of SOPs shared by Regulatory Affairs for the operations and its application and make recommendations and reports related to its functionality. Ensure the team is adhering to the SOPs and find solutions for situations where the application of the SOPs would be challenging.
- Stakeholder management with third party airlines for implementation of services to OALs, such as Air Canada, El Al etc. and implementation of their SOPs.
- Collaborate closely with the AVSEC (Aviation Security) and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to plan the implementation of robust audit programs, conduct comprehensive risk assessments, and formulate effective mitigation strategies across all operational facets.
- Leverage data analytics to pinpoint trends that highlight service deficiencies, facilitating the promotion of a continuous improvement process within the unit.
- Develop, motivate and lead the Hub Ops team in order to achieve the goals set from the SOPs. Ensure all regulatory and non-regulatory mandatory trainings have been met by the team. Create an environment of trust, respect, and recognition within the team.
- Collaborate with the Business Support manager actively engaging in the development and refinement of financial budgets specifically tailored for the Hub operations. This includes participating in discussions, providing insights, and contributing to the formulation of budgetary plans that align with the units objectives and overall organizational financial strategy.
- Strategically harness outsourced services, optimizing the deployment and supervision of the contingent workforce to ensure their effective alignment with organizational objectives.
- Maintaining Hub Ops supplies for the operation such as screening machines, ETDs and consumables. Ensure all machines are effectively positioned, utilised, and are meeting the required standards.
QualificationTo be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Bachelors Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)
- 10+ years experience in Airline, Airport, or Cargo Security.
- Degree Holder or Qualified as ICAO AVSEC Professional Manager and be competent in the Quality control Programme of ICAO.
- Experienced in aviation security (AVSEC) with a solid track record in managerial positions.
- Should be level headed, maintain a flexible approach and have rational thinking as recommendations provided in case of threat to aircraft.
- In depth knowledge of aviation security standards and recommended practices e.g. Annex 17, Doc. 8973, Doc. 9811, Annex 9, Annex 6 of ICAO, NCASP of GCAA and of other countries.
- Knowledge of IATAs Security Regulations, bomb detection and its disposal training, extra-ordinary security procedures and measures in case of hijacks, accidents and bomb threats.
