Job Description US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREDWe are seeking an Engineering Operations Analyst to join our team in evaluating critical processes to support the Department of Defense. The Engineering Operations Analyst plays a key technical support role in a cross-functional teams including laser technologies and applications. You will apply analytical thinking and engineering principles to analyze and optimize operational processes, troubleshoot complex issues, and inform data-driven decision-making. This role requires a strong foundation in physics and engineering fields (such as mechanical and electrical), as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

What You’ll Do:
- Synthesize multiple sparse sets of information from various sources, including technical reports, research papers and experimental data to create a single cohesive narrative that informs engineering decisions and drives project progress
- Develop and maintain engineering databases, spreadsheets, and other tools to track and analyze operational effectiveness
- Collect and analyze data on laser application processes, including process parameters, material properties, and equipment performance
- Support user and customer interface meetings, exercises and rehearsals
- Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including project managers, customers, and other team members
- Develop and apply pre- and post-processing tools to evaluate Modeling and Simulation results
- Identify and troubleshoot issues with existing models and processes, and develop creative solutions to improve performance and efficiency
- Note: This role may require supporting an 8-hour to 12-hour rotating shift schedule, including weekends and holidays. Although not a continuous requirement, flexibility and adaptability in scheduling will be important in this role.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
- May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
- May access other facilities in various weather conditions.
